Clubs
There are several extracurricular opportunities for students both before and after school.
MOORE MELODIES CHOIR
Moore Melodies Choir
Moore Melodies is made up of 4th grade students meeting before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They perform multiple times per year for school and in the community.
Moore Melodies Choir is supervised by Eli Adams.
DESTINATION IMAGINATION
Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Our purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.
Destination Imagination is supervised by Rebecca Piggott.
FOURTH GRADE CLAY CLUB
Who: 4th grade students
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays after school 3:30-4:45 until Winter Break
What: Fourth graders will have the opportunity to create a kiln-fired clay work of their choosing. These will be handmade, glazed and fired by the students in this club.
Fourth grade students are invited to sign up for Open Studio Art Club which will take place after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Art Club will run from immediately after school until 4:45. This will not be a typical art class in that each student will be choosing what they wish to create and will have guidance from Mr. Reynolds in how best to achieve that goal. 4th Grade Open Studio Art Club will run until the end of this semester. Transportation will not be provided for this after school club.
MAC - IF students are signed up for MAC they can be released there following Open Studio Art Club. I would HIGHLY recommend signing your student up for MAC so if you are ever running late they will be able to attend MAC until you arrive.
ATTENDANCE/PICKUP- Students will be notified which days they will be attending Open Studio Art Club after all forms have been turned in. Number of days depends on the number of interested students and keeping our group size small to allow ample physical distancing. Pickup will be in the Car Lane at 4:45. We will be exiting the Art Room down the ramp near the playground. This will keep our dismissal from interfering with MAC dismissals. PLEASE BE ON TIME to pick up your student. If late arrivals for pick up continue you will be asked to sign up for MAC to continue Open Studio Art Club attendance. While MAC sign up isn’t required it is STRONGLY encouraged.
THE EXPERIENCE- Fourth graders will have the opportunity to create a kiln-fired clay work of their choosing. These will be handmade, glazed and fired by the students in this club.
