We are pleased to announce that Nicole Thomas has been selected as the newest Assistant Principal to join the administrative team at Franklin Elementary School for the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
Mrs. Thomas earned her Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University and her undergraduate degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education from Middle Tennessee State University. She comes to Franklin Elementary School with 17 years of experience in education. Her prior teaching experience is from Williamson County Schools, where she spent the majority of her career as an elementary student support specialist. Most recently, Mrs. Thomas worked at Thompson’s Station Elementary School, where she set high expectations in a team-based environment to meet the needs of all students. “Her familiarity with the IEP process and student support programming will be invaluable to Franklin Elementary,” said Franklin Special School District Director of Schools Dr. David Snowden. She was also an integral member of her school’s positive behavior support program and nonviolent crisis prevention and intervention processes.
Mrs. Thomas is excited for the opportunity to continue her career at Franklin Elementary, and during the interview process stressed her collaborative and student-focused nature, as well as her commitment to communication and relationship building with students, parents, and staff.
